The Integrity unit, its purpose and duties

1.1 The Integrity unit  is a unit under the Board specified in Article 13.4 of the Rules of the Mongolian Amateur Swimming Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Federation).

1.2 The Integrity unit is not an independent legal entity and shall operate within the framework of the Federation and Integrity unit Statutes.

1.3 The purpose of the Integrity unit is to:

To practice ethical behavior and relationships in all activities and events of the federation, to ensure sports unity and to prevent the loss of reputation among the public, and to ensure the fairness of decision-making

Combating all forms of unfair competition, cheating, corruption, ethical violations and any actions/inactions that violate the Federal Rules and Integrity code.

Promote and enforce the Federation’s Rules and Integrity code to all participants in aquatic sports activities and events, including the Federation and its members, athletes, coaches, and officials.

1.4 The Integrity unit, based on all its resources, undertakes the following duties in order to prevent and investigate potential violations of Ethics. It includes:

  • Create a channel for receiving information about potential ethical violations that may be submitted by third parties (phone number, email address, etc.)
  • Obtain the necessary information from the relevant organizations and individuals for the investigation of ethical violations, and confirm the accuracy of the information through the club, coach and senior management.
  • Conducting training and advertising on ethical issues for all members of the federation, officials, employees, athletes, supporters of athletes and other people related to aquatic sports, who are obliged to follow the rules of the federation and the Integrity code, and monitor the implementation of the Integrity code.
  • Develop effective relationships and cooperation with national, global and regional aquatic sports and other authorized organizations in the areas of prevention, investigation, information exchange, and accountability for violations of laws and the Integrity code.
  • Exchange information about corruption and ethical violations with other sports organizations.
  • Discipline and ethics, handling and handling of all ethical violations including all forms of violence, cheating, illegal betting, recovery issues and interference with events.
  • Annually report activities to the Board of Directors
  • To fulfill other duties assumed by the federation rules and decisions of the Board.
  • Monitor compliance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) obligations.

1.5 The activities and decision-making of the Integrity unit shall be independent of others, and shall work only within the framework of the Federation Rules, Integrity code and Integrity unit Procedures.
