The AYG is for athletes aged 14–17 from 43 countries. The 2025 games were originally scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, but construction delays at the Olympic Village made it impossible to complete the project on time. The Bahrain Olympic Committee was able to provide the necessary sports venues, accommodation, and medical services.
