The 2024 World Swimming Championships, held in Budapest, Hungary, took place from December 10 to 15, with nearly 1,000 top athletes from 194 countries participating in the 25-meter pool competition.
Representing Mongolia in the competition were Enkh-Amgalan Ariuntamir Backstroke in the 100m and 200m , Batbayar’s Enkhtamir in the 100m and 200m Freestyle, Batsanal Maral in the 50m and 100m Freestyle and Ganzorig Sugar in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.
The team was coached by Senior Coach K. Batbold, along with Coaches Ts. Bayaraa and E. Demuul.
Additionally, the member of the Mongolia Aquatics referees council, Ts. Mungunsor, joined the team to observe and gain experience in the officiating process of the World Championships, while MNB Sports Channel Editor J. Batbayar provided on-site coverage of the event.
The 2024 World Swimming Championships in the 25-meter pool concluded, leaving behind many remarkable achievements and events. Top athletes from around the world showcased their speed, strength, and skill, with 30 new World Records set, which was one of the highlights of the competition.
For the Mongolian team, it was a crucial event that allowed them to gain experience, improve their results, set new goals, and seek opportunities to keep pace with the global development of swimming.
