The send-off ceremony for the Mongolian team competing at the 20th Asian Games was held

The 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, will be held in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026, under the slogan “Imagine One Asia.”

A total of 303 athletes will represent Mongolia across 31 sports, including 34 swimmers and 6 coaches who are ready to compete in swimming at the Games.

The send-off ceremony was attended by B. Battushig, IOC Member and President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC); B. Purevdorj, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar; Kh. Battulga, Member of Parliament, President of the Mongolian Judo Federation, and Chef de Mission of the Mongolian delegation to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games; Kh. Bulgantuya, Member of Parliament and Deputy Chef de Mission of the Mongolian team; as well as MNOC members, distinguished guests, athletes, coaches, and team officials.

Japan is hosting the Asian Games for the third time, having previously hosted the Games in Tokyo in 1958 and Hiroshima in 1994.

At the 20th Asian Games, approximately 15,000 athletes and team officials from 45 National Olympic Committees will compete across 43 sports and 71 disciplines, with 469 medal events.

The Mongolian delegation’s flag bearers at the Games will be Ch. Temuulen, an International Master of Sport, player for the top-league basketball team Khasyn Khuleguud and member of Mongolia’s 3×3 national basketball team, and P. Enkhkhuslen, an International Master of Sport and member of Mongolia’s national volleyball team.
