Mongolian Aquatic sports at the Olympic Games

“Paris-2024” Olympic Games recently successfully  held in Paris, FRANCE, we will tell you the story of how Mongolian aquatic sports athletes participated in the Olympic Games.

Since 2000, the Mongolian aquatic sports team has been participating in the Olympic Games. Master of Sports Altantuya of Sanjaajamts and Galbadrach of Ghana participated in the 24th Summer Olympic Games held in Sydney, Australia. Our Olympic athletes are now working as swimming coaches and methodologists at the Sports Complex of SOE at the Erdenet Mining Plant.

Master of Sports A. Tamir participated in the “Athens-2004” Olympic Games held in the capital of Greece. A. Tamir is the founder of “Vista” club, the best club of the Mongolian Aquatics.

At the “Beijing 2008” Olympic Games held in Beijing, the capital of China, aquatic sports athletes, Master of Sports D. Saintsetseg, B. Butekh-Uils participated. D. Saintsetseg works as a sports nutritionist and researcher, while B. Butekh-Uils was working as Secretary General of Mongolia Aquatics.

At the “London-2012” Olympic Games, Mongolian Aquatic sports master G. Oyungerel, A. Tamir participated. A. Tamir’s participation in the 2nd Olympic Games after 8 years was a remarkable event.

At the “Rio-2016” Olympic Games, Mongolia’s first International Aquatic sports master B. Dulguun, Master of Sports B. Yesui participated.

Enkhhuslen, the first female International master of Aquatic sports, and M. Delgerkhuu, are participated in the “Tokyo-2020” Olympic Games.

Siblings B. Enkhuslen and B. Enhtamir participated in the swimming event of the “Paris-2024” Olympic Games. For the first time in the history of the Mongolian Olympic team, siblings are participating in the Olympics together.

The “Los Angeles-2028” Olympic Games, which will be held in 4 years, is waiting for us as a new challenge. I wish all the athletes, coaches, referees and aquatic sports team great success.
