Mongolia Aquatics implement the National program “I will learn to swim”

The guidelines of the “I learned to swim” national program were approved at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Mongolia Aquatics held on September 5, 2024.
Many member organizations and clubs of our association have been carrying out this work independently for many years. This time, it will be organized at the national level.
According to a 2014 World Health Organization (WHO) study, 372,000 people die from drowning every year, or 1 person per minute, and there are reports that an average of 80 people die in water accidents in Mongolia every year.

Learning to swim not only meets the exercise needs of people of all ages, but also increases the chances of saving hundreds of lives from drowning and natural disasters.
Within the framework of this program, the attention of the public and government institutions will be focused on the construction of swimming pools that meet international standards and requirements for the development of all Aquatic sports in Mongolia.
Learning to swim improves the quality of a person’s life and increases the opportunity to spend leisure time safely and enjoyably.

This program will be managed by the Board of Directors and Secretary General of the Mongolia Aquatics, and will be implemented by all the member clubs and organizations of the Mongolia Aquatics.
