The Masters National Swimming Championship of the Mongolian Water Sports Enthusiasts Association was successfully held on June 8-9, 2024 in Arvaikheer, Uverhangai Province.
The competition was jointly organized by the Water Sports Training Center of Ovorkhangai Province and the Swimming Masters Association.
The Water Sports Training Center of Uverkhangai Province was built in 2020 and for the first time hosted a major national competition, and this is a sign that the Mongolian Water Sports Association is also working carefully to support the activities of its members in rural areas.
In the competition, 119 athletes from 13 clubs competed in 11 different distances in 9 age groups.
According to the overall results of the competition, the Remax swimming club team won 71 gold, 36 silver, and 44 bronze medals and took the First place.
“Hangarid” club of Erdenet Sports Complex won 45 gold, 25 silver, and 8 bronze medals and took Second place.
The athletes of the “Encanto” club at the Encanto sports complex took the Third place with 24 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals.
The 2025 Masters National Championship is also planned to be held at the Water Sports Training Center in Sukhbaatar, Selenge Province, in order to support local swimming pools.
